Neil holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree from the University of Bristol, England, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the West of England.
He has a range of local, national and international clients and has excellent communication, technology and personal skills. Neil’s clients have included multinational construction consortiums and telecommunications companies, pharmacies, mining and resources companies, aged care service providers, international sports players, and professionals from the global film and music industries.
Having such a broad global background in law has given Neil a unique insight into how different jurisdictions approach and solve problems and underlines the importance of using inventive and agile thinking in tackling his client’s legal issues.
Neil believes in using plain English wherever possible to demystify legal jargon and help his clients to fully understand the various complex legal concepts they may encounter.
He has presented to industry professionals and intermediaries on various legal topics, including trusts, commercial law, estate planning and technology/IP law.
Neil was previously the editor of a professional legal practitioner text detailing multi-jurisdictional financial, tax, trust and regulatory laws for the “offshore” legal and financial industry.
Neil is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a global professional body, comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees, financial advisors and other practitioners that help clients achieve their estate and wealth planning needs. Full STEP members are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.
Neil is an emergency first responder, and volunteers as a Senior Radio Operator and Sea Rescue Boat Crew for Marine Rescue Whitfords, a local marine rescue group and part of Western Australia’s Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Neil is married to his lovely wife, Rayna, and they have a young daughter who keeps them young.
